Borrego History Preservation Day and Annual Health Fair
The Borrego Springs Civic Foundation is proud to sponsor, along with the Borrego Medical Clinic, the annual Health Fair. This Health Fair is an important event for the many disadvantaged people living in the desert area. The Foundation also sponsors the annual Borrego History Preservation Day in "Old Borrego." They conduct a field trip to the old townsite and talk to the 4th grade clase from the local elementary school about the history of the area. The Civic Foundation also sponsor an essay contest for the students, with U.S. Savings Bonds presented to the winners.
